I’ve been thinking for a while about the power of change one voice can have, the impact on the earth of what one mouth eats, the little steps we can be challenged to take each day to love others, love our planet, and love ourselves.

I’m not expert on the environment, green living, or plant-based diets, but I am on a journey of learning more and doing what I can to leave a small footprint, and some big love.

There is an art to helping people embrace change and that is accepting where they are right now.  You aren’t going to convince someone to be a vegan by showing them pictures of animal slaughter. You aren’t going to change buying habits by making people pay for plastic bags.  You are going to incite curiosity, and encourage change when you understand where they are, and demonstrate your own empowered living.

To quote Morpheus from The Matrix, “You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”I swallowed the red pill several years ago.  My eyes were opened as I traveled down the rabbit hole. I made gradual changes to buy local, buy organic, make shopping purchases based on producing less waste, modified my diet, and began researching.

This is really about sharing my journey down the rabbit hole of awareness.  As I discover more I want to share, but I don’t want to judge. I’m a gentle soul wanting to live in harmony with nature, and one another.

I hope you enjoy my musings.
